Slimming World Oatmeal Cookies

Cinnamon Raisin Oatmeal Cookies.

A Slimming World friendly recipe for choc chip cookies using 4 syns per portion with your healthy extra B allowance.

If not using your healthy extra B, you can enjoy 1 cookie for 4 syns.

Ingredients

3 tbs of butter

15g/0.5oz of raisins, sliced in half

1 egg

½ tsp of vanilla extract

200g/7oz of oats (5xHEb)

45g/1.6oz of brown sugar

3 tbs of sukrin:1 (or another sweetener of choice)

½ tsp of cinnamon

½ tsp of baking soda

2 tbs of water

Method

Preheat stove to 180c or 350f (gas mark 4)

Spot 1 cup of oats in a blender or food processor and pulse the blade a few times to finely hack up the oats.

Add this to a bowl, with the other cup of oats, cinnamon, baking soda, and raisins.

In another bowl combine the butter, brown sugar and sukrin: 1 and then whisk in the egg, vanilla extract, and water.

Add this to the oat blend, and mix to altogether join.

Line a preparing plate with parchment paper and add 15 equal sized balls of the mixture onto the tray, Flatten into a cookie shape.

Spot in the oven and bake for approx 20-25 mins till golden.

You can also snack to satisfy your hunger between meals.

In addition, you are encouraged to consume metered quantities of certain foods known as ‘Healthy Supplements’, which provide the necessary nutrients for a healthy, balanced diet.

These include milk and cheese (for calcium) and whole-grain cereals and bread (for fibre and minerals).

To avoid feeling deprived, you can consume limited amounts of treats that contain more calories and are less filling, such as chocolate, crisps and alcohol.
